Jeans, Jeans & More Jeans

In preparation for Fall and what will hopefully be a few chilly trips within the next few months, I thought it was only fitting to stock up on some new jeans.

This is particularly challenging for me as most of you know because I am tall and my legs are a bigger size than my waist so most of the times I go a size up and just have to wear a belt. I wanted to order from a few different places just to see what my new favorites might be and for future reference.

1. Gap

So I ordered these dark wash girlfriend jeans from Gap. I ordered them 28 Tall and they actually fit pretty loose. I think my biggest complaint with Gap is their sizes are a little inconsistent. I have old jeans that are 27s and fit great, but I also bought a pair of boyfriend jeans not too long ago that were a size 28 and fit super tight, so I had to return them. With this particular pair I like that they are distressed but don’t actually have any holes. Also, the girlfriend style has a weird fit around the crotch but I’m keeping them anyways cause they are pretty comfy, I can make em work, and I’m just really liking the way they look…

2. Express

I kept seeing bloggers posting about express’s jean sale a few weeks ago so I decided to see what all the hype was about. I ordered two jeans cause of the sale they had going on where they were both half price, so two for the price of one… I can never turn that down!! I will definitely continue shopping at Express for denim because I love that they add unique aspects to their jeans. I ordered 6 Longs for both pairs. A ton of their jeans are still on sale and most are still half off!

The first pair I got was the side stripe & high waisted. When I was buying them there were definitely mixed reviews because some people said they run small and others said they were true to size. Based on my experience I’d say the 6 fit but are a little snug on my thighs, however, apparently they will fit better after a few wears. They do shed a lot, so I am skeptical of how long these will last me, and I would say of the 4 jeans I ordered these are the least flattering.

The next pair I got was the seamed ankle jeans and I am obsessed! I really like this trend of seams in different places than just the side, so I loved these. They fit really well, better than the side stripe ones, and I love the color.

3. J. CREW

Well, friends…I have officially found my new favorite jeans, and that is definitely worth celebrating. I really wanted a pair with exposed buttons instead of a zipper and J crew had them on sale so if that’s not a match made in heaven I don’t know what is… I honestly don’t have much to even say about these besides the fact that, they are perfect!!! ALSO, J. Crew now has another sale 40%-50% off full priced items with the code FALLTIME and I have never been so tempted to buy more jeans…

Side note: If anyone was wondering what happened to my knees in that last pic…. well a cute pup decided to come slober on me and add a lil design of her own :))

Lastly, I really want to take a minute and brag about how Madewell and J Crew both take recycled jeans and give you $20 off your next jean purchase in their stores. They then send your old jeans to a company that recycles them for housing insulation!!
